Project Account Manager – India
Applied Language has grown considerably and we are now looking to grow our presence in Europe and the Far East.
The Position:
The position of the Project Account Manager (PAM) is fundamental to the smooth operation of the company. The PAM should ensure that the customer receives a high quality product, and in doing so help to promote the company as a quality organisation.
The PAM is responsible for maintaining the customer data, in particular the documents that have been translated for the customer.
Essential Job Functions:
- Finding and assigning a suitable translator for the jobs they are managing
- Ensuring that the translator costs are commercially viable for the project
- Ensuring that the translated documents that are returned to the customer are of a suitable standard
- Ensuring that customers receive their projects within the given deadline
- Communicating with the customer on the progress of their projects
- Invoicing projects as they are completed
- Ensuring that project information is correctly maintained.
This position also requires knowledge and experience of DTP work and packages (e.g. Quark, etc). Knowledge of CAT and TM tools, in particular SDLX, would also be very useful.
