Applied Language celebrate new India office
Applied Language Solutions celebrate the move to a new office in Chennai to satisfy their rapid growth and success in India.
Applied Language Solutions moved to a new office in Chennai on Wednesday 12th September 2007. The move came after the rapid growth they have undergone since the office was first opened in March earlier this year. To celebrate the success and expansion of the company, Sales Director Richard Stangroom officially opened the new office at Thapar House, Chennai.
Richard said, “Having a presence in India gives us a huge advantage. The fast–growing Asian economy offers fantastic business opportunities for Applied Language and provides job opportunities for the local people. With the opening of the new office we will have 24 hour global coverage, meaning our customers will have access to our services at any time of the day.”
Applied Language Solutions are a rapidly growing translation and interpretation company that delivers a consistently high quality personal and corporate translation service into over 150 languages.
In less than four years, the company has developed from a one-man operation established by the Chief Executive Gavin Wheeldon, to a company that now boasts eight offices worldwide, including the UK, India, USA, France, Bulgaria, Guatemala, Hong Kong and Spain.
Richard said, “This is a very exciting time for us. We have grown at a phenomenal rate in less than four years into a multi-million pound company with a 70-strong team. The new office in Chennai will help to continue our fantastic growth.”
The Indian office was opened to provide crucial support to the Applied Language’s global sales and operations and as a sign of what to expect, their first customer was one of the largest companies in India, Tata. Tata comprises of 96 companies operating in six continents and employing around 500,000 people.
Over the last five months the Indian office has played a vital role within Applied Language Solutions and is expanding in all areas. They started out with 3 staff members and now have 16 members of staff providing office support for almost all aspects of the company including projects, telesales and IT. With the new office creating space for 22 new workstations, they intend to extend even further and are planning to recruit 5 more members to the team in the next month to facilitate the finance and Desk Top Publishing.
Applied Language Solutions also provide interpreting services as well as translating all kinds of documents from simple letters to large technical documents for specialist Medical, Legal, Financial and Marketing organisations, including whole websites and printed catalogues.
They are proud winners of the prestigious 'AXA Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year Award' and the HSBC Start-up Stars Award In 2006. Most Recently Chief Executive Gavin Wheeldon won the Institute of Directors (IoD) Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2007.
