Chinese students' English improves
Chinese students at Princeton University are making good progress at learning English language communication skills, says a language testing body.
According to China View, the Educational Testing Service (ETS) has said the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores of Chinese students increased last year, rising to the same level as the global average.
Paul Ramsey, senior vice president of ETS Global said that the improved results are the fruits of hard work by Chinese students, reports the news provider.
"These results show that the hard work of intensive study of English and practice by Chinese test takers has had positive results," he added.
"Chinese students will be able to show that in addition to their very strong academic abilities, they are able to use English for communication at the university level."
Earlier this week, translation service Centris announced that an over-the-phone foreign language translation service has been pioneered in Texas.
