In House Translator
What's the most enjoyable part of your job?
Learning so many interesting things while translating.
Tell us three facts about yourself, one of which is a lie.
- I once saw Neneh Cherry walking about in Barcelona and I approached her to say hello and to welcome her to Barcelona (Her bodyguard is still trying to figure out how did I manage to approach her so easily).
- I lived and worked in wonderful Edinburgh for some time and was one of my best experiences ever.
- I love haggis.
What do you consider your biggest
achievement is so far?
My biggest personal achievement (and my biggest challenge!) is definitely my wonderful little son.
My biggest professional achievement has been to abandon my previous professional career and settled job position to pursue an ever longed-for professional career as a translator.
What is your favourite song?
Wow! Impossible to decide just one! I love many songs and many different kinds of music. It all depends on my mood…
What is your biggest ambition?
Being able to answer this question!!
What's your favourite film?
It is so difficult to tell… I love classic movies, and Ben-Hur is definitely one I really like.
What's your chosen tipple?
White coffee.
What was your worst ever fashion disaster?
There have been so many… But I guess that the worst one was back in the mid-eighties when I pretended to dress like Madonna. My father used to get desperate about it…
Top tip:
Live and let live.
