What is a Certified translation?

A certified translation is a translation that has been formally verified for official use. Documents that require certified translation include birth, marriage, divorce certificates and university degrees, among other things.

How much will it cost?

Our prices are very easy to work out. We charge depending on the number of pages you need to be translated, and on which type of translation you need.

What type of translation do I need? Certified or Sworn?

A translation can be certified in lots of different ways. It all depends on the nature of the document and how it’s to be used.

It is vital that you check with the people or organisation who has asked you to produce a certified translation which type of translation they will accept, and if they have any specific requirements outlined. Some organisations are very strict about the translations they will accept, so please do double check.

How do I send you the documents I need translating?

If you have physical documents it is easy enough to just scan these in and upload them online as JPG or TIFF files. If you are using JPG or TIFF image files ensure that you only have one file for each page you need translating. Or if you already have electronic copies like word or PDF files, you can upload those as well.

How do I get my translations back?

Once your translation is complete you’ll receive an email containing a link. Just click on the link and you’ll be able to collect your completed translation. It’s that simple.

Certified translation service

With a certified translation along with your translated documents you’ll also receive a statement to the effect that the translated version is a true and accurate version of your original.

Sworn translations

A Sworn translator has been authorised by the government of the country in question to translate and notarise a document. A document provided by a sworn translator is an official document in its own right. The translation will be provided with a stamped declaration which is written in the relevant language, as well as English.
