Tagalog Code Switching
After 50 years of American colonial rule and increased exposure
to modern media, code switching between English and Tagalog is
common amongst Tagalog speakers. Code switching is the use of more
than one language in a sentence when all the speakers in the
conversation speak both languages.
Taglish as it is known has been used by many companies in their
marketing materials aimed at the Tagalog speaking community in the
USA. Our experienced Tagalog translators know exactly when the use
of Taglish is appropriate, and will only use it if it is suitable
for your audience.
