So, how do we achieve this for customers?

We use our SmartMATE technology to ensure the best possible MT output is achieved, through various computational linguistic techniques and processes such as tokenization, table balancing and data cleaning. The output had already benefited from your translation memories and glossaries, so skilled editors have to simply clean up the text which takes them, on average, half the time of standard human translation - and this is where the cost and time savings are achieved.

With continued development in machine-assisted translation technology, the output being achieved before it reaches the editor is of increasingly high quality. Depending on the end use of the material you can then decide on the importance of a light or a heavy post-edit, the latter of which ensures the best possible translation.

What is the PEMT process?

The first step is to translate your document using our specially developed machine translation software which has been tuned to your specifications. this delivers a translation which requires very little intervention from a human linguist.

An additional linguist will proofread and edit the document so that the best possible target content is produced.
